Summer Meditation Silent Retreat (One Day)
This one day retreat works on the techniques taught at the Mastering Mindfulness Meditation half-day retreat (insight/vipassana meditation) and will be a silent meditation retreat. Therefore, there will be guided but limited meditation instructions during the day.
This retreat provides the necessary time and a dedicated space to allow students to explore these techniques, as part of their self inquiry, in greater detail and without interruption.
Note, the retreat will involve both sitting and walking meditation. Therefore, the retreat will be held both indoors and outdoors (weather dependent). There will be periods for breaks and lunch. Please bring your own food (no meat please) and drink for the day.
This retreat is open to mature meditation students or those who have worked with the teacher previously.
This one day meditation retreat will be a unique experience for Fontainebleau residents – the first of its kind – and will be a regular feature at le centre de meditation & yoga Fontainebleau every year.
About the teacher:
This workshop will be led by Ed Niembro. Ed is an accredited senior meditation teacher with International Meditation Teachers Association (IMTA) and accredited yoga teacher. He is also an accredited urban planner and environmental & social impact specialist.
Ed has been practicing insight (vipassana) meditation for over 20 years. Ed has seven years of targeted experience of bringing mindfulness meditation and yoga into a corporate environment across Asia and Europe. Having worked as a Principal sustainability specialist on challenging and contentious large projects across the world, Ed now works with staff (both within corporate and community organisations) on how to integrate their meditation and yoga practice into their workplace to improve mental health and working relationships with colleagues and clients.

As walking meditation will be an important aspect of this retreat, this meditation will be carried outdoors in the parc du chateau.
